We have now had 2 weeks of activity with members getting afloat in the ARC and Kanata on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for 1 to 2 hours around high tide. We have also had a number of Volunteer Training Sessions when tides have meant that the ramp is too steep to use without the safety line which is impracticable under social distancing guidance.
The Hoist is now fully certified and can be used for transferring members into Kanata. Members requiring hoisting will need a member of their household or support bubble to assist them with the sling and guiding them into the boat as that requires close face to face contact which is not permitted for volunteers.
Our next sessions are
Tue 25 Aug 1000 and 1030 ARC / Kanata
Wed 26 Aug 1100 and 1130
Thur 27 Aug 1200 and 1230
Tue 8 Sep 0900 and 0930
Wed 9 Sep 0930 and 1000
Thur 10 Sep 1000 and 1030
Tue 22 Sep 0900 and 0930
There is a risk that we will not be able to access the hoist this week due to marina development plans
Wed 23 Sep 0900 and 0930
However, we think we have a plan that will enable us to continue to access the hoist.
Thur 24 Sep 0900 and 0930
If you wish to sail on any of the planned sailing days please contact Gill Pendlebury to book a slot saying whether or not your helper will wish to sail with you. Gill will manage bookings to give everybody a fair share of opportunities.

Premier have asked us to avoid Weekends as the Marina is very busy. However, if you can only make weekends please contact me and suggest days when you would like to sail, noting tides, and I will contact Premier to make arrangements. Andy Osman said he would consider requests in such circumstances.
