Happy Birthday dear Chris!

Keen DSG member Chris Dowall celebrated his 31st birthday aboard with lots of friends aboard two of our boats and it was smiles, cake and good wishes all round! The celebration was to mark Chris's 30th last year but his milestone was scuppered by COVID. Mum Veronica says: "Parents met at our local Downs Syndrome support group with their babies and children so his friends are all about the same age. Now as adults they meet when they can. Sailing gives them the opportunity to have some time in the community together at weekends." Altogether 15 sailors went out on two boats and Chris, ably helped by our training officer Bob, steered the boat past Greenway - Agatha Christie's holiday home. We are most grateful to Veronica for her donation to fund diesel used.
