Tuesday 23rd October
On Tuesday 23rd October you are invited to take part in the Grand Dartsailability Brain Storming Day. Everyone who cares about our club should be there because this meeting will shape the future direction of the charity. Even if you think you don’t have anything to contribute, it is important that you are there to debate the key issues that define us.
The format will be as follows. There will be a number of round tables for six members at each. There will be a different topic for each table. Each member will move from one table to another after say 15 minutes where there will be a different group of members and a new question. An officer or trustee will host each table. Their job will be to take notes and to keep the discussion on topic.
Four years ago when we last did this exercise, the meeting was very well attended and a huge amount of useful feedback was generated. Most of that feedback was subsequently actioned and provided the impetus and direction that trustees and management needed to do their jobs effectively.
The programme will be as follows:
1030 Welcome and introduction.
1100 First session of discussions
1215 Interval
(1230 EGM) see separate email
1245 Lunch
1330 Second session of discussions
1500 “Wash up” and depart
Timings may be adjusted according to the number attending.
The venue is the dining room of Churston Golf Club. There is ample parking, a level approach and disabled toilet. You will be asked to register on arrival, so please be there at least 10 minutes before the start.
