Sailing member Anne Blood's fabulous niece Lucy competed in the Exeter Marathon and has raised a fabulous amount of money for Dart Sailability!
Lucy and her friend Hannah trained hard for the Exeter Marathon regularly running 20 miles up to the big day. Unfortunately Hannah twisted an ankle and could not run despite doing all the training!! Lucy braved it on her own leaving us the difficult and exhausting task of support. We managed to find suitable rest stops with coffee /breakfast facilities we cheered loudly and kept hydrated. Lucy looked as good at the end as she did at the start not sure the support team did! She completed it in 4hrs 40 mind and still fit for a celebration BBQ.
