A full house enjoyed an absolutely fabulous afternoon of musical entertainment at Galmpton Village Hall on Saturday. The event raised a whopping £786.00 for which we are enormously grateful.
The amazing line up kicked off with Hedgehogs' Brawl folk band whose repertoire included both traditional and original songs and soon had the audience clapping and singing along. They were followed by Galliards Recorder Ensemble who played some beautiful melodies as well as some jazzy numbers and a tango! Next up was Carport Extension, a truly wonderful four-part harmony, whose songs included the haunting 'Magpie'.

After an interval for tea, cake and a raffle, we were treated to another set from Hedgehogs' Brawl before the ever popular Missin' Tackle shanty crew rounded off proceedings with a very entertaining set and a final rousing rendition of 'What Shall We Do With the Drunken Sailor?' with everyone joining in.

Huge thanks to Graham Gardner who put together the event and to all the musicians for their extremely generous support. If you were unable to attend you really missed a treat so be sure to look out for these incredibly talented acts - hopefully they'll be coming to a venue near you soon!
Special thanks also to everyone who donated cakes and prizes and to everyone who helped with the preparation and service of refreshments and the clearing up.
