Busy Week for Boat Recovery

This week has seen a small band of volunteers recovering boats from the centre pontoon and pressure washing them before they are taken to the Piggery for their ongoing winter maintenance.

After five days work all boats from the centre pontoon, apart from the ARC, have now been recovered – seven in total.

This year Dart Sailability invested in a new petrol engine driven pressure washer which has been put to good use, minimising the manual scraping needed later on to prepare the boats for anti-fouling. Its also done a great job on the topsides.

Well done to everyone involved.

Winter maintenance will now continue as usual on Tuesday mornings – all volunteers welcome.
