Our members had a busy weekend with a sun drenched barbecue thanks to the Royal Dart Yacht Club on Friday 30th August follow by a busy day on the water on Saturday.
Some 40 people enjoyed the hospitality at the yacht club in Kingswear and tucked into delicious burgers, salads and all the trimmings on the terrace overlooking the beautiful River Dart.
All the charity’s vessels were out on the water on Saturday including Laura Campbell and Anne Bailey from Mayflower 400 which donated a significant amount of funds for our recent relocation to Dartside Quay. Another special guest included five year old James whose sister Daisly is a regular sailor. He was only to happy to lend a hand steering the boat - and even spotted some seals into the bargain!
