Our new R S Venture Oscar was put through her paces at the Dittisham Regatta - here she is leading the field! She was helmed by Brian with support from Jean-Luc and training officer Bob. Kanata, our Drascome Long Boat (below) was star of the show as she led the parade of sail past spectators on the quay. She was helmed by Juliet, crewed by Colin, Glib and Tess, skippered by Anna and the navigator was Pete. Anna our chief sailing instructor says: "We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather and found it a privilege to be sailing with so many interesting old boats with such friendly crews."
The South West Gaffers Association invited us to compete in the race at the Dittisham Regatta on 6th August. Everybody enjoyed the chance to sail with the "Gaffers" and we are very grateful for the opportunity. Congratulations to everybody who made the event such a success!
