First Session brings perfect conditions, sunshine and gentle winds

The season started on Friday with the perfect weather for getting back out on the water and remembering how to sail. Sunshine and gentle breezes. We had a great turnout of volunteers, both old hands and new members.

The ARC went down river whilst Hansa 303s and a Liberty enjoyed the beauty of our main sailing area. It was great to see a couple of experienced sailors each taking new volunteers out in 303s to show them the unique features of these boats such as the joystick for steering.

Kanata was also on the water showing her stable and gentle sailing qualities to members who have not previously been onboard.

A lovely way to start the new season with plenty of happy smiling faces.
