Gooseberry Pie Fair

Our "man overboard" training aid Fred was the star of the show at Galmpton's Gooseberry Pie Fair which was an enormous success. It took place on Churston Common on 7th July and thousands of people attended enjoying the sunny weather. Enormous thanks to Chris Wood who took the lead arranging our attendance, to Millie Lowe who helped the fair committee with medical advice and all our volunteers on the day - we couldn't have attended without you! Cadets from Britannia Royal Naval College were out in force and welcomed information about our October Stride for Sailability sponsored run and walk. Several potential members were keen to come and have a taster session and we received several cash donations in Fred's pot so all in all, a great day and many thanks again to everybody who helped make it such a success.
