Our annual cruise up to Tuckenhay, weather permitting
I've borrowed a picture from another event. We assemble at Noss on Friday afternoon, 2nd August, to be aboard for 1630hrs - 4:30pm - and travel by boat up river to Bow Creek and to moor at the Maltsters Arms.
The pub does serve food but we recommend that you bring a picnic to eat on the boats during the cruise as we will have a limited time ashore.
Be wise and dress with layers and bring a windproof. It gets cold on the way home.
There is a disabled toilet at the pub at the roadside entrance but please note this is up a fairly steep slope from the quay.
Will volunteers please be at Noss by 1530hrs and sailors by 1600hrs to allow sufficient time for preparation and loading. We aim to arrive at The Maltsters Arms by about 1800hrs after a gentle cruise. We will have approximately one hour ashore and will return to Noss by about 20:30.
Carrie, our Social Secretary, has the boat and personnel lists. There might still be time to get onto the trip if you get in touch with her. socialsec@dartsailability.org
We have to be back moored up by dusk, which includes getting the NAB back to Darthaven by 2100hrs
Skippers please note: alcohol and being a skipper do not mix. The RYA has information on it.
See you all on Friday afternoon - Tim Trent OOD
