The tall ship Tenacious is always a welcome sight in the River Dart, on her regular visits to the Dartmouth Regatta. She is run by the Jubilee Sailing Trust and is specially adapted to take people with disabilities as crew. We have been offered the opportunity to send a number of disabled and disadvantaged people from the Dartmouth area for a couple of “day sails” when the ship visits for Mayflower Week at the end of August 2020. This will be of particular interest to Dart Sailability members, and will an opportunity for the crews to experience sailing in a tall ship, including helping to set the sails and steering if they would like, or relaxing and enjoying the views.
