RYA Push the Boat Out 2018

Sunday May 6th 2018

RYA Push the Boat Out is all about getting out on the water and discovering sailing and boating near you! Sailability enables people with disabilities to try sailing and boating, and to take part on a regular basis.

Experience the thrill, freedom, and exhilaration of sailing and boating in a welcoming, safe and friendly environment. No previous experience or knowledge is necessary. Training and support are provided to develop your skills from whatever your starting point, new to the water up to competitive racer.

Sailing and boating are open to anyone, no matter what age or disability. You don’t need to be able-bodied, or even a strong swimmer. Dart Sailability has boats and facilities to cater for everyone.

Sailability relies on energetic and enthusiastic volunteers, young or old, to assist people of all ages and disabilities to enhance their lives through sailing. Every volunteer will find their role(s): power and sailing boat instruction, driving and crewing safety boats, providing shore based support, administration, boat and equipment maintenance, organising social events, etc.etc.

We will be at the Royal Dart Yacht Club, Priory St, Kingswear, Dartmouth TQ6 0AB on Sunday May 6th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. We will warmly welcome sailors and potential sailors, and anyone interested in volunteering. Please come along and meet some of our existing sailors and volunteers and let them introduce you to Dart Sailability and our fleet of dinghies, keel boats, power boats and safety boats.
