Sail in the Adriatic with the Gwennili Trust

The Gwennili Trust is associated with the relief of the physically or mentally disabled, in particular those with a military connection, through the provision of nautical, recreational and education facilities on board vessels at sea. The Trust has a 6 day cruise in the Adriatic to offer an experience to people whose disability makes sailing difficult to access.

Summary

Fly Gatwick to Split. Join the yachts in Seget Donji marina. 6 days sailing on the Dalmatian coast. Return flight back to Gatwick

When 28th September to 5th October 2019.

Who is this for Those who would enjoy a flotilla style cruise, who are happy to contribute to teamwork on board and to share inexpensive sociable evenings ashore. You will have a disability but do need to be able to cross a gang plank (often unstable) and to manage the companionway (steep) steps. Once ashore mobility aids can be used but you should expect to find that facilities for the disabled are less sophisticated than in the UK.

The Yachts Two Jeanneau 53’ yachts. The Gwennili Trust provides the volunteer Skippers and the Mates. The yachts are standard charter versions. They are therefore without wheelchair lifts or any modification for disabled or VI crew

Cost The combined cost of the flights, yacht charter, transfers in Croatia and most of the food on board is £700 per person.
