Team Racing against Stoke Gabriel

ree

On Saturday we played host to the Juniors of Stoke Gabriel Boating Association (SGBA) for our annual sailing match.

With three boats to count in each team, four races were sailed in our Hansa 303s. We actually had four crews on the water, discarding our worst score. The youngsters of SGBA showed the success of their training by beating their more experienced opposition in all four races. Indeed our most successful was teenager Adili (yellow sails) who won the last two races. Unfortunately her team mates did not do well enough for a team win in the races.

Everybody agreed that the event had been great fun as they enjoyed the tea and cake that Sailability is well known for and SGBA received their trophy.  Dart Sailability committed to some serious training before next year’s match.

Thanks to all the support both on and off the water from both DSG and SGBA that made it such a success.

Some lovely photos of the event were taken by Julie Boxall including those in this blog (unless stated otherwise).
