Treasure Hunt on the Dart - A Grand Day Out

Despite the downpour necessitating water wings and an amphibious vehicle for accessing the creek the Arc departed the creek under miraculously blue skies and met our escort.

Our destinations, Kingswear and Dartmouth to collect more team members and undertake the 2025 attempt on the Regatta Treasure Hunt.
Our tightly formed team of 9 - jauntily named Arc for a Lark - explored the hidden coves, quirky statues, history, lighthouses and much more from the Castles up to Dittisham.
We discovered hearts lovingly cut into primrose yellow shutters, a Tardis crane, the all important distance from Kingswear to Newton Abbott in miles, furlongs and poles.
We counted buoys and fenders, we spotted that the Life of Riley boat has a freedom rig and that the Anchor Stone has it's own spy camera - no privacy for the seals there!
Finally ashore a long debrief over tea and cake was mandatory in true DS style.

We didn't win, but no matter, the spirit of DS was upheld, the weather defeated and our river thoroughly appreciated.
